Looking for where to stay? We got you.
We are so excited to celebrate with you in beautiful Northern California.
Whether you’re flying in from out of state or making a weekend of it, you’ll find that everything you need is just a short drive away. Below, we’ve included recommendations for where to stay, how to get here, and a few nearby areas we think you’ll love. We can’t wait to welcome you and are so grateful you’re traveling to be part of our favorite weekend ever.
Just North of Sacramento…
Newcastle is a small, charming town located about 30 minutes northeast of Sacramento in California’s Sierra foothills. While the town itself is quiet and scenic, it’s surrounded by larger nearby cities like Roseville, Rocklin, and Auburn, which offer plenty of hotel options, restaurants, and easy freeway access for guests traveling in from out of town.
Many of our guests will choose to stay in one of these nearby towns, where you’ll find a wide range of hotels, shopping, and dining options just a short drive from the venue. Whether you prefer a larger city with lots of conveniences or a quieter foothill town, everything is within easy reach of Newcastle and Gold Hill Gardens, making it simple to enjoy the weekend without a long commute.

For guests flying in, Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is the closest and easiest option, located about 40 minutes from Newcastle. It offers direct flights from many major U.S. cities and is the most convenient choice for getting in and out for the weekend.
If Sacramento flights are limited or pricey, San Francisco (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) are also good options, about 2–2.5 hours away by car. If you’re traveling from out of town, it could be fun to make a trip of it and fly into the Bay Area, then enjoy a scenic drive into Northern California.
We recommend renting a car if you are flying in, as most hotels, Airbnbs, and the venue are a short drive apart. -
If you are traveling from out of town, we strongly recommend renting a car. This area is very car-friendly and spread out, and most guests will be staying in nearby towns rather than within walking distance of the venue. Ride-share services like Uber and Lyft are available, but can be limited late at night in the foothills, so having a car or arranging a driver will make the weekend much easier and more flexible.

Newcastle is a small, rural town, so we recommend planning transportation in advance for the wedding day. Many of you will be staying in nearby towns like Rocklin, Roseville, and Auburn, which are about a 15–30 minute drive from the venue. Uber and Lyft are available in the area, but can be limited later in the evening, especially for rides back to hotels and AirBnBs. If you plan to enjoy drinks, we recommend scheduling a ride ahead of time or arranging a designated driver. Please do not drink and drive! On-site parking will be available at the venue and is free. We’ll also share a few local taxi options for anyone who prefers that route. We highly recommend booking these services in advance, especially if you’re planning to return later in the evening.

Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, there are plenty of convenient places to stay near the venue on AirBNB and VRBO. Because Newcastle is a small town, there may be limited rental options directly in town, but nearby cities like Auburn, Roseville, Loomis, Lincoln, and Rocklin offer many more choices, all just a short drive from Gold Hill Gardens.

Its location also puts guests close to Old Town Auburn, the Auburn State Recreation Area, and local wineries and breweries, making it a great home base for the wedding weekend.
The Holiday Inn Auburn is an easy and convenient option for guests, located just off I-80 and about seven miles from Gold Hill Gardens. It’s a great choice for out-of-town visitors who want a comfortable stay with quick access to the venue.
Comfort Inn & Suites is conveniently located just off I-80, about 20 minutes from Gold Hill Gardens and less than half an hour from Sacramento. It’s a great option for guests who want easy freeway access and plenty to do nearby, including Quarry Park Adventures, Thunder Valley Casino, and the Westfield Galleria.
